5 Places to Ring in NYE With a View
It’s mid-December and if you haven’t made any New Year’s Eve plans you’ll have to start thinking about some soon. If your skin starts crawling at the thought of being inside a hot, sticky nightclub or in a huddle of people, this article will point you in the right direction. Nothing beats a celebration high above the crowds with a view of an ocean, a skyline or just simply a gorgeous city. We picked five places to ring in the New Year with a view in five major cities — welcome 2016 from high above.1. Miami: Juvia
Ride the elevator up to an awe-inspiring panoramic view of Miami Beach where you can see both the city and the ocean. Juvia is pulling out all the stops for their NYE menu with a seven-course champagne menu featuring Japanese, Peruvian and French delicacies such as Kampachi with cilantro salt and truffles, rockfish with seafood etouffee and Wagyu with anticucho hollandaise sauce. Every dish is paired with Ruinart Blanc de Blanc or Ruinart Rosé so you’ll have lots of bubbly to go along with your beautiful view.
2. New Orleans: Jax Brewery Bar
Want to see the New Orleans ball drop but not be in the midst of throngs of people? Head to Jax Brewery Bar where you can see fireworks over the Mississippi River and also enjoy musical entertainment, aerial artists and have the perfect champagne toast once the clock strikes midnight.
3. New York: Hotel Hugo
Ever wanted to make an entire hotel your personal party playground? At Tribeca’s Hotel Hugo you can do exactly that. You can choose to indulge in a meal in the hotel’s Italian restaurant Il Principe on the ground level then head upstairs to their rooftop bar for a five-hour premium open bar. Toast to the New Year while you’re high above the city overlooking the Hudson River.
4. Los Angeles: W Hollywood
High above Hollywood, you will find the W Hotel’s Loft and Rooftop Wet Deck. You can enjoy four hours of premium open bar and dance to three world-class DJs. Hey, since it’s L.A. you might even get to take a dip first thing when 2015 becomes 2016.
5. Chicago: The Godfrey
Chicago has one of the most beautiful skylines in the world so why not ring in the New Year among the high-rises the city is famous for. Enjoy great drinks, food and views from the fourth floor perch of this high-design hotel. Views and champagne — definitely the best way to close out this year.
